So, its important to use it when it matters most.
White Clothing
Unlike colors, theres no risk of fading whenwashing white itemsin hot water.
Always read instructions, however, to ensure the material will hold up to heat.
Delicate fabrics require more care and, oftentimes, handwashing as opposed to the machine.
Activewear
Washing workout clothesin cold water is completely acceptable, especially if you want to retain their vibrant colors.
If using cloth diapers, they should be washed separately (and frequently) using the hot water setting.
Running a load of towels in hot water is a guaranteed way to kill off residual bacteria.
However, note that repeated use of high heat can cause wear and tear on soft fabrics.
So, if youwash towels frequently, consider alternating between hot and cold cycles to help them last longer.
Bedding
Like towels, bedding doesnt need to bewashed in hot waterwhenever youswap your sheets.
Pet Bedding and Towels
As cute as they are, our pets are magnets for dirt and dander.
Of course, always be mindful of care instructions so you dont inadvertently cause more damage to an item.
