Like the swimmer’s favorite treat, our muffins are loaded with cocoa powder andchocolate chips.

Top the muffins with rich chocolate ganache for an at-home version of the now-famous sweet.

Here’s what you’ll need.

In a small saucepan, bring 1/2 cup whipping cream just to boiling over medium-high heat.

Add a 11.5-ounce package of milk chocolate pieces.

Let stand 5 minutes.

Grease twelve 21/2inch muffin cups or line with paper bake cups.

In a medium bowl combine first seven ingredients (through salt).

Stir in chocolate chips.

Make a well in the center of flour mixture.

In a bowl whisk together oil, milk, and egg.

Add oil mixture to the flour mixture.

Stir just until moistened.

Spoon batter into prepared muffin cups, filling each twothirds full.

Bake 18 to 20 minutes or until edges are firm (tops will be slightly rounded).

Cool in cups on a wire rack 5 minutes.

Remove from cups; serve warm.

Top with chocolate ganache, if desired.
