I was still very new to it.
And I think thats what you see on this show.
Can we make somebody really excited for the renovation?'"
Cameron says, but the clients happy-cried upon seeing their new home.
This response (which in turn made him cry) served as motivation to outdo himself in every project.
You know, lets take their vision, and lets make it better.
There was risk in that as wellbut the reward was so sweet when these people saw their homes.
The main thing about this endeavor that surprised him?
The beast of what home renovations are, Cameron says.
Most days, theyd be going until 9 or 10 at night.
Camerons passion for the job is clearand perhaps trumped only by his love for his hometown.
When Cameron talks about Jupiter, you’re able to tell its where hes meant to be.
I think it’s a place that Ill be forever, he says.
I really just put my roots there now, and I dont want to leave.
Now I get to share that with everybodyIm excited.
I think everyones gonna see Jupiter for the gem that it is.
If youre thinking ofrenovating your own home, hes doing the sameand he advisesnotfollowing exactly in his footsteps.
Im renovating my house, and I just ripped it apart.
So thats definitely one of the big keys to it all.
And if youre a novice in the home reno world, know that Cameron was, too.
Thats the main thing he wants you to take away from this showits a learning experience.
I start from Ground Zero doing this, he says.
But I also want you to see me for all I am.
Its got a lot of heart and emotion.
You get to see me let it all out, and I hope people get to enjoy that.
