Create a DIY paver patio for a low-maintenance outdoor space that’s durable and weather-resilient.
Dig up about 6 inches of soil to make room for the base and pavers.
Rake the ground level and tamp the soil down to create a firm bed.

Cut the edges so that the fabric fits snugly into place.
The porous material allows water to flow through (no flooding!)
but will block weeds from sprouting.

This will discourage weeds from popping up between the seams.
Tamp the Gravel
Next, tamp the crushed gravel until the base is extremely firm.
Adjust the contour of the bed as needed to make the surface as level as possible.
To smooth the sand, lay a long, straight board along the base of the house.
Then take another board, notch both ends, and skim it along the surface to make it smooth.
it’s possible for you to reduce costs bycutting some full-size pavers in half.

Position the pavers no more than 18-inch apart, and tap them down into place with a rubber mallet.
Continue placing pavers until you fill the entire patio space.
Use a push broom to work the sand into the crevices between pavers.

Keep your DIY paver patio clean and level by regularly sweeping away leaves and debris.
Finally, rinse the pavers again, using moderate pressure to remove the soap and any remaining debris.
A paver patio is a great way to add value to your home and increase its curb appeal.
