To create a cozy, rustic ambiance, illuminate your tree with warm-toned white or amber string lights.
Perhaps the best part of the woodland aesthetic is the DIY potentialits highly encouraged.
One way to do this is by using steel wool and vinegar.

You could also make indentations in the wood to make it appear more weathered.
Start by spreading the branches and fluffing them to fill in empty spaces.
Then use garland, lights, and ribbons to decorate your branches.
