A dump cake is similar to acobbler, but is made by layering fruit filling into a baking dish.

The basic recipe is then sprinkled withcake mixand dotted with butter.
It gets its name from the way you dump the ingredients directly into the baking dish.
Coat a 13x9-inch baking pan with cooking spray.

Pour the crushed pineapple onto the bottom of the pan.
Layer on Bananas
Top with banana slices.
Add Topping
Sprinkle with pecans, cinnamon, and cake mix.

Add Butter
Evenly distribute the butter over the cake mix.
Serve warm with ice cream, additional pecans, and/or whipped cream, if desired.
