McGee begins designing utilitarian spaces by listing the top priorities and uses for the space.

Closed storageis a great way to hide muddy boots and mess, butincorporating open shelvingprovides a space to style.

She then adds personality through decorative accessories, wall colors, and easily updated finishes.
