This simple project can be finished in a weekend and can be stained to match any decor.
Use any flat-bottomed pot to sit on the stand base and bring attention to indoor plants.
This will be the approximate height of the plant stand legs.

To make the legs, use a saw to cutfour equal piecesof square dowel to this height.
Cut Platform Pieces
Measurethe planter’swidest part to determine the plant stand’s width.
Cut two dowels to that length.

One dowel will remain intact, and you’ll take out the center of the second dowel.
Make an X with the two dowels by setting one on top of the other.
double-check the top dowel is centered, thenuse a pencil to markwhere your two cuts will be made.

Mark the center of the length platform piece and drill a 1/4-inch wide hole into the piece.
Repeat on the opposite side of the platform piece.
Measure half of a dowel pin and tape off drill bit to measure how deep to drill.
Dry and Stain
Let the wood glue dry for a few hoursbefore sandingand staining.
If youwant flowers, there are colorful, fragrant bloomers.
In rooms with tall ceilings or lots of empty space, alarge plantwill add texture and natural elements.
