They are made out of Turkish cotton which is a long-staple fiber known for its softness and durability.
They are so soft, and wont irritate your skin like some towel fabrics can.
They are also quite durable, so you might expect them to last a long time.

While both are considered to be luxury towels, Turkish towels arent as plush as Egyptian cotton towels.
However, their lightweight construction means they dry quicker.

Its not the heaviest towel on our list, but its also not the lightest.
However, the more plush, traditional cotton towel side dried our hands in just one pass.
After washing the towel, it held up well and there were no snags or loose threads.
This complete set has everything you need for your bathroom and performed exceptionally well in testing.
Despite weekly use and washing, it still looked and felt brand new.
We appreciated that it is lightweight and absorbent, and it consistently dried quickly.
However, we didnt mind it since the towel performed so well.
The larger the GSM, the heavier, denser, and more absorbent a towel is.
Our favorite Turkish towers range between 300 and 500 GSM.
Weave:How the long-staple cotton of Turkish towels is weaved also impacts the feel.
Traditional styles are flatwoven, giving them the lightweight, airy feel theyre known for.
But to compensate for a lack of plushness, some brands have also started double-weaving the same fibers.

Although the mascara stain disappeared after washing, it reappeared after the bath sheet was submerged in water.
The quality also seemed nice, except for a few small snags in the fabric.

Material
Turkish towels have long-staple fibers that give them a soft feeling, even after repeated washes.
Typically, the higher the GSM, the more luxurious and plush the towel is.
The Turkish towels we tested range from a weight of 300 GSM to 500 GSM.
Most of the Turkish towels on our list are machine washable.
The fact that they are thin and dry quickly makes them eco-friendly for laundering, Buscemi says.
Some brands also recommend air drying the towels to maintain their quality and softness.
It is best to stay away from harsh chemicals or detergents when washing Turkish towels.
Dont use fabric softener as it creates a build up that decreases the towels absorbency, Buscemi says.
