What Is Wacky Cake?
Wacky cake is a Depression-era dessert that was born out of necessity when certain baking ingredients were scarce.

Thechocolate cakeis mixed directly in the baking dish, like many of our favoritedump cakes.
In an 8x8-inch baking pan combine the first six ingredients (through the salt).
Pour water over the top and stir with a fork until combined.

Cool cake completely in pan on a wire rack.
Top with Chocolate Frosting.
